Waxing

Waxing is the removal of excess hair on the body and face. After multiple waxings, it will take an average of 3 to 6 weeks for the hair to grow back. You can still feel hairs after waxing, this is because your hairs are in different growth phases. Waxing is a temporary way of hair removal. The growth always happens with a soft hair tip, so that unlike shaving, you will never have hard stubble after waxing.

​The stripless LYCON hard wax we use removes hairs as short as 1mm! Perfect for short, stubborn hairs on any part of the face, bikini line or underarms. LYCON waxes are used at an extra low temperature. Excellent for the most sensitive skin, anywhere!
With strip wax, we wax the large parts of the body. Think of the arms, back and legs, this wax is applied to the body parts with rollers the strip wax has a pleasant temperature. Then we remove the wax and the hairs by means of a resin strip.

Tips: before and after waxing

  • The first time you wax is usually the most sensitive, make sure your hairs are not too long. If necessary, cut them to 0.5-1.0 cm.
  • Stimulants such as caffeine and sugar can make you more sensitive, so avoid them.
  • Be sparing with the use of greasy body lotions, oils, etc. (tws). from 24 hours before you wax. Using greases and oils can significantly reduce the effect of, for example, an oil-soluble wax.
  • Do not use products containing Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) from 24 hours before and after waxing, as this can cause sensitivity and irritation.
  • Avoid hot baths, sunbathing, saunas or other heat/heat treatments for up to 48 hours after waxing (tws). Also use a good sun product with a protection factor after that time.
  • After 3 days, you can scrub the skin to keep it soft and prevent ingrown hairs.
