AFTER CARE BIAB AND GEL POLISH
To enjoy the biab or gel polish for as long as possible, I recommend following the tips below:
- Be extra careful the first 24 hours after the treatment and avoid heat (sauna, sunbed, hot bath)
- Never use your nails as tools! This prevents cracking or breaking.
- If you regularly bump your nails, they may be too long. To prevent lifting, also known as air at the cuticle between the artificial nail and natural nail, it is useful to file the nails a little shorter. Never cut artificial nails because they can crack or break.
- Apply a cuticle oil to your nails and cuticles twice a day. This keeps the nails, gel polish and cuticles supple and reduces the chance of loosening and chipping.
- Do not let the gel polish come into contact with anti-limescale, Cif, chlorine, turpentine, nail polish remover with or without acetone or interior cleaners. These contain corrosive substances that can dissolve the artificial nails. Wear gloves when doing housework
- If the nail is damaged, contact us immediately. In case of serious damage, the risk of infection is higher. Have the nail repaired and do not pick at it yourself. Repairs of biab within 2 weeks, of gel polish within 1 week after application are covered by the warranty. In case of damage, send a photo immediately and make a repair appointment.
- Have your gel polish or biab replaced between 2/3 weeks. Because your nail continues to grow, the nail loses its balance if it becomes too long. This increases the risk of bumping.
- Depending on the treatment chosen, you have a 1 or 2 week warranty on the nails, so if the gel polish or biab starts to chip within these weeks, we will repair it free of charge provided the care tips have been followed. In case of damage, send a photo immediately and make a repair appointment.
- If you want to remove gel polish or biab, you can make an appointment to have it removed professionally and responsibly. Do not pick or pull the nails off yourself, this can seriously damage the natural nail and in some cases permanently.
- Pamper your hands daily with a moisturizing hand cream!
